I am a huge proponent of spiritual well being and I think vision boards are a great way to achieve our goals in turn maximizing our spiritual health. Today I’m sharing why you should make one and how to create one!
I believe that what we focus our energy on expands and this articleby The Huffington Post agrees! For example, the more in touch you are with your wants and desires the more likely it is to happen. The opposite also holds true. If you are holding onto negative beliefs it often continues to spiral and you experience negative impacts. Negative thoughts can impact our mood and our overall health and well being. It’s the power of manifesting. The great thing about vision boards is you are putting the focus on positive beliefs and desires into a visual form. Not only is creating it super meditative, but it also puts those good vibe frequencies into the universe. The entire world is operating on energetic frequencies so making them as positive as possible should always be the goal! When creating a vision board think of things you want to feel in all aspects of your life. For example, what images or tangible things can you put on the board that make you feel successful, happy, or connect with areas of life you want to improve such as physical activity, healthy eating, or how you view relationships and your travel goals. I personally encourage images only on the board as opposed to words as I think images more closely reflect how we feel and words are a little too concrete. However, I am also a VERY visual person so this what works for me. If you do better with specifics and numbers and that works for you then go for it! There really is no right or wrong way to do this. You can redesign your vision board as often as you want and you create a bunch of them specific to certain goals. There really aren’t rules associated with it so do what works for you! For example, I created my first vision board about a year ago and it was serving me great! One day I woke up and it just felt stale and like it needed an update so I spend a night creating a new one and instantly felt inspired and on track with my goals again. I like to keep my old ones and compare them and see what has shifted, what has come to fruition and what has stayed the same. It’s kind of like a visual journal. I love making my vision boards on the computer with images, but I know most people enjoy cutting images and text out of magazines and journals and placing them on a bulletin board or other piece of heavy stock paper. Remember whatever gets you in that creative and positive flow of energy is the way to go here! Turn off any distractions, play some music, get to work and watch your goals come to life! Have you ever made a vision board? What on it came true?! I’d love to hear your experiences in the comments below!
